Please read these terms and conditions carefully before placing an order or using our services. These terms outline our commitments to you and your responsibilities as a customer of The Curtains & Fabric Studio.

gavel 1. Introduction
These terms and conditions govern the sale of goods and bespoke services provided by The Curtains & Fabric Studio (a division of Press XPress). By placing an order with us, either in-store, online, or during a consultation, you agree to be bound by these terms.
design_services 2. Bespoke & Made-to-Measure Orders
- Measurements: Where you provide your own measurements, it is your responsibility to ensure they are accurate. We cannot accept liability for items that do not fit due to incorrect measurements provided by the customer.
- Our Measuring Service: If our team conducts the measuring and fitting, we guarantee the fit. Any discrepancies arising from our measurements will be rectified at our expense.
- Cancellations: As our curtains, Roman blinds, and soft furnishings are custom-made to your exact specifications, orders cannot be cancelled, amended, or refunded once the fabric has been cut or the manufacturing process has commenced.
payments 3. Pricing and Payment
All prices quoted are in Euros (€) and are inclusive of VAT unless stated otherwise. Quotes remain valid for 30 days from the date of issue.
- A non-refundable deposit of 50% is required to secure your order and commence manufacturing.
- The remaining balance must be paid in full prior to delivery, or immediately upon completion of fitting/installation.
- All goods remain the property of The Curtains & Fabric Studio until paid for in full.
texture 4. Fabric Characteristics
Textiles are natural products and are subject to certain inherent characteristics:
- Shrinkage: A shrinkage rate of 3% to 5% is considered normal for soft furnishing fabrics, particularly natural fibres like cotton and linen. We account for this during manufacturing, but environmental factors (like humidity) can cause movement.
- Fading: All fabrics will eventually fade due to prolonged exposure to sunlight. We highly recommend adding blackout or protective linings to mitigate sun damage, though we cannot guarantee against natural fading over time.
- Colour Matching: While we strive for accuracy, slight colour variations may occur between fabric batches or from showroom samples.
published_with_changes 5. Returns and Refunds
Under Irish and EU Consumer Law, the right to cancel or return goods does not apply to items that are made to the consumer's specifications or are clearly personalised. Therefore, bespoke curtains, blinds, cushions, and altered items are non-refundable.
In the unlikely event that your made-to-measure item is faulty or does not meet the agreed specifications, please contact us within 7 days of delivery/installation. We will repair or replace the faulty item in accordance with your statutory rights.
local_shipping 6. Delivery and Installation
Estimated delivery and installation times are provided in good faith. While we make every effort to adhere to these timeframes, delays can occasionally occur due to fabric availability or unforeseen circumstances. We will keep you informed of any significant changes to your delivery schedule.
It is the customer's responsibility to ensure that the installation area is clear of furniture and obstacles prior to our fitters arriving.
